ஹாங்காங்: ஹாங்காங்கில் கடந்த 140 ஆண்டுகளில் இல்லாத அளவுக்கு கனமழை பெய்துவருவதால் அங்குள்ள சாலைகளில் வெள்ளம் கரைபுரண்டு ஓடுகிறது.
ஹாங்காங் நகரத்தில் கடந்த வெள்ளிக்கிழமை (செப் 08) வரலாறு காணாத கனமழை பெய்தது. கடந்த 140 ஆண்டுகளில் இல்லாத அளவுக்கு இந்த மழை 158.1 மில்லிமீட்டர் அளவில் பதிவானதாக ஹாங்காங் வானிலை கண்காணிப்பு மையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. 1884ஆம் ஆண்டுக்குப் பிறகு இந்த அளவு மழை பதிவாகியிருப்பது இதுவே முதல் முறை. இந்த் கனமழையால் ஹாங்காங் சாலைகளில் வெள்ளம் கரை புரண்டு ஓடுகிறது. மெட்ரோ ரயில் நிலையங்கள், ஷாப்பிங் மால்கள், குடியிருப்புகள் தண்ணீரில் மூழ்கியுள்ளன.
பள்ளிகள், கல்லூரிகள், அலுவலகங்கள் ஆகியவற்றுக்கு விடுமுறை அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. மேலும் பொதுமக்கள் பாதுகாப்பான இடங்களுக்குச் சென்று தஞ்சமடையுமாறு அதிகாரிகள் கோரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளனர். சாலையில் விழுந்து கிடக்கும் மரங்கள், குப்பைகளை அகற்றும் பணியில் மீட்புக் குழுவினர் ஈடுபட்டு வருகின்றனர்.
ஹாங்காங் நகரின் முக்கிய அடையாளங்களில் ஒன்றான கிராஸ் ஹார்பர் சுரங்கப்பாதையும் வெள்ளநீரில் மூழ்கியுள்ளது. குடியிருப்புகளில் சிக்கியவர்களை மீட்புக் குழுவினர் படகுகளின் உதவியைக் கொண்டு மீட்டு வருகின்றனர்.
