தேர்தல் பணியில் 14 லட்சம் பணியாளர்கள் ஈடுபடுத்தப்பட்டிருந்தனர். தேர்தலை முன்னிட்டு நேற்று விடுமுறை அறிவிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. தேர்தலை முன்னிட்டு செல்போன்களுக்கான இணைய சேவை தற்காலிகமாக நிறுத்தப்பட்டது. ஒரு சில இடங்களில் வன்முறைச் சம்பவங்கள் நிகழ்ந்த போதிலும், பெருமளவில் தேர்தல் அமைதியாக நடந்து முடிந்தது.
